In an article recently published by CNN, there is a question whether or not ecigs can really help you quit the horrible habit of smoking all together.
The reality, the article states, is that at best e cigarettes really work more like nicotine patches than a cure. The UK government has recognized that electronic cigarettes are indeed healthier than normal cigarettes, but have not elaborated has to why and if it is universal with various manufactures. The idea, however that they are a miracle cure, should never be stated. Let’s be honest, e-cigarettes may be fun to smoke, but the chances that they are actually healthy should not be ever claimed by any company. In fact, most e cig companies now refrain from stating such a claim.
There are no scientific studies to prove or disprove their credibility, however based on the simple mechanism all electronic cigarettes share, it is safe to assume that the level of healthiness varies based on the actual e liquid people are purchasing from different companies.
If one really wanted to quit smoking, they should consider nicotine replacement therapy instead, at least there is the FDA backing such a program. Reality is, until there are some official tests, no one really knows anything about the topic. Anything outside of lab testing is simply speculation and hearsay.
The United Kingdom has been going back in forth in regards to making ecigs an actual smoking cessation aid, and the United States seems to be completely confused as to what to do with the matter entirely. No matter what side you are really on, we all can agree that there is a good chance that electronic cigarettes can be engineered or have been engineered already to be more healthier than the prehistoric cigarette that has been available for decades.
